Classes

Summer classes are offered from June 1 – June 24. Students can drop-in for a day, take for a week or commit to all four weeks of the session. Mindfulness & Movement and Multi-Age Beginning Modern are for both children above the age of five and adults. Beginning/ Intermediate Ballet is for children ages 8-12.

Mindfulness & Movement (ages 5 through adult) is a forty-minute class that uses Kundalini breath exercises to improve mindfulness and then moves into stretches and dance movements for a good start to the day. This class is held outdoors in Delta Park, 40 Delta Place NE, 30307. Students should bring a yoga mat or chair if accommodation is needed for mobility.

  • $15 per class drop-in, $10 per class multi-class (3+)

Multi-Age Beginning Modern (ages 5 through adult) is a hour-and-fifteen-minute class that works through a basic vocabulary of movements for modern dance. A seated warm-up is followed by standing work, then across the floor work and will include improvisation exercises and choreography. This class is held outdoors in Delta Park, 40 Delta Place NE, 30307. Students should bring a yoga mat.

Beginning/Intermediate Ballet (ages 8-12) is and hour-and-fifteen-minute class that refines the important fundamentals of ballet technique. The class is appropriate for both students with several years of training and focused beginners. This class is held indoors at Ms. McLaughlin’s home studio, 87 Druid Circle NE, 30307. Class size is limited to 8.
