Two performance series are planned, one for the Summer/Fall Semester and a second for the Winter/Spring Semester. Each series will have two performance at senior living facilities. One confirmed facility is Wesley Woods Tower. The Summer/Fall performance repertoire will have a joyful, holiday theme celebrating the gift of dance. The Winter/Spring performance will be an adaption of work presented as part of the Annual Student Recital.

The Outreach Performance Program was piloted in the June of 2021 with a performance at Wesley Woods Tower. Ten of MAA’s students performed for residents of Wesley Woods Towers on Thursday, June 10 in the beautiful courtyard. Several section of the Annual Student Recital’s Music Box Ballerinas were performed as well as Good Fun. Following the performance, the students spent time chatting with the residents including one that had been a dancer. She happily shared her memories of dance and her scrapbook of photographs and newspaper clippings.
