Outreach Performance Program

The Outreach Performance Program (OPP) gives the students of MAA the opportunity to perform in the community learning that sharing the joys of dances goes beyond performance for family and friends. It is open to students of MAA who are able to commit to the rehearsal and performance schedule. Following are the planned rehearsal and performance dates and times for OPP.

Inman Park Wine Stroll

MAA students and friends will help celebrate the spirit of Inman Park at this fundraiser for the Inman Park Neighborhood Association. Here is a link to purchase tickets. Rehearsals

The Outreach Performance Program was piloted in the June of 2021 with a performance at Wesley Woods Tower. Ten of MAA’s students performed for residents of Wesley Woods Towers on Thursday, June 10 in the beautiful courtyard. Several section of the Annual Student Recital’s Music Box Ballerinas were performed as well as Good Fun. Following the performance, the students spent time chatting with the residents including one that had been a dancer. She happily shared her memories of dance and her scrapbook of photographs and newspaper clippings.
